Control strategy of hybrid electric vehicle based on driving intention identification

Abstract: The parameters of driving intention identification were defined and the membership functions of the defined parameters and the fuzzy inference rules were established. The driving intentions were identified by fuzzy inference. The hybrid electric vehicle control strategy was formulated based on the driving intention identification results and its simulations were done. The simulation results show that the fuzzy inference system identifies well the driving intentions and the control strategy based on the driving intention identification improves the fuel economy of the hybrid electric vehicle.
