Commercial vehicle cab suspension system vibration modes and transmission characteristics by means of ADAMS

Abstract:

A multibody dynamics model was built for the floating cab suspension system of a commercial vehicle through the interactive method in the software ADAMS. The built model was simulated with both the vibration modal analysis and the transmission characteristic method, and the full vibration characteristics of the vehicle cab suspension system were achieved. The simulated results were verified by tests, proving the model is sufficiently exact and can be used to evaluate the vibration isolation behavior of the cab suspension system.
