Fuzzy optimum design for structural parameters of spiral cutting drum of shearer

Abstract: Using the fuzzy theory, the optimum design for structural parameters of spiral cutting drum of shearer was discussed.A mathematic model for optimization design and design variables were established,when loading performance of the drum was select as the aim of optimum design.At the same time restriction conditions, such as breaking model of coal wall,rotation speed of the spiral cutting drum,rise angle of the helical blade,and so on, and subjection functions were selected.The fuzzy optimum design problem for structural parameters of spiral cutting drum of shearer was changed into non-fuzzy problem using the optimal level cut method,then the normal optimum design method could be used.The design results may make to suit the pratical situation,thus increasing the working efficiency of the drum shearers.
