Calculation of inertia moment about wind turbine test-bed braking system

Abstract:

The calculation method of the inertia moment about the horizontal axis wind turbine's test-bed braking system was simplified.The determination of the wind turbine's test-bed braking system of inertia moment is more complicate than the automobile and industrial break test-bed.It takes three steps to simplify the calculation method of the inertia moment reasonably.First,the blade's three-dimensional model was established to gain its gravity center without considering the attack and twist angle of the blade.Second,the blade's gravity center was revised considering the effect of the lightning protection devices and control devices.Finally,the blade's rotational inertia was determined according to the experiential data.
