Experiment and simulation of bionic crown indenter during crushing materials

Abstract:

In the paper,a bionic indenter was developed by simulating the crown of molar,the crush experiment and analysis of finite element simulation were done.After obtaining the point cloud of crown by three-dimensional laser scanner,the bionic indenter was designed and fabricated by the technology of reverse engineering.Crush efficiency was determined by the method of sieving and weighing,numerical simulations were performed for the crush process using the non-linear contact finite element method,comparing with columnar and dentiform indenters.The results show that the bionic indenter has higher crush efficiency,bigger crush stress,more stress concentration area than others,and the data is stable and reliable.So the bionic indenter is better than the common indenters.The study can afford to the reference for the optimal design of the crusher.
