Identification of egg shell crack based on fractal texture analysis

Abstract:

In order to identify the crack of eggshell precisely,a recognition device was designed.For solving the problem of the indiscernible small crack,an air pressure adjuster is designed to enlarge the crack.According to the feature that well eggs have smooth surface and crackle eggs have irregular texture,use fractal dimension to analyze egg images.Use four sections to divide the surface of egg image and get 4 curves which have fractal discipline.Compute the fractal dimensions and the box-counting dimension of the whole image,all the 5 values are inputted as the eigenvector of BP neural network.After training of 284 samples,use 240 other samples to test the network,the identification result is 98.36%.
