FPGA implementation of real-time detection system of moving objects in complicated static background

Abstract:

A real-time detection system of moving objects in complicated static background based on FPGA was designed,and the system hardware platform and the software algorithm process were introduced.Background difference algorithm was used to detect moving objects.Median filtering and pixel shift algorithms were used to remove the noise.Erosion and dilation and Sobel edge detection algorithms were realized.Experiments show the system has clean background and detect the objects accurately and alarm in time.The processing speed can meet the needs of intelligent video surveillance system in real time.
