Traction control strategy simulation research of continuously variable transmission vehicle

Abstract:

Presented the traction control strategy of a Full-time four-wheels-drive vehicle with a continuously variable transmission relying on controlling the transmission, inter-axle differential and brakes. Built a vehicle transmission system software inthe loop simulation platform with Matlab / Simulink software. Simulation to the proposed control strategy and the traditional control strategy relying on adjusting the engine, inter-axle differential and brakes in the low attachment coefficient road respectively. The results showed that the control strategy with the transmission participating significantly improved the vehicle road surface traction in the low attachment coefficient road, and was superior to the control strategy of relying on controlling engine.
