We have applied partial least squares (PLS) to establish a calibration model, the precision of which is verified by cross-validation. Via adopting optimum wavelength to calibrate, a satisfactory model has been established. In this model, the correlation coefficient in methanol determination is 0.999 91, the root mean square error of cross-validation (RMSECV) is 0.431; in ethanol de termination, the correlation coefficient is up to 0.999　98, and the RMSECV is 0.193. Compared with that of gas chromatography, the relative error of the sample determination results is not more than 3.505%.

An improved algorithm of Web structure similarity based on tree path matching was proposed, which defines the sequence similarity and position similarity of the tree path, finds out all the Web tree paths, and calculates the structural similarity by best tree path matching between two Web pages. Experiments show that the proposed algorithm to calculate the Web structure similarity is more realistic and effective than the original algorithm.

Nitrogen\|rich g-C₃N₄ nanobelts were  synthesized via the pyrolysis of melamine (C₃N₆H₆). The as\|synthesized microbelts are structurally uniform, and each belt is uniform in width and thickness along its length direction. The typical width is in a range of 3 μm to 6  μm. The typical length of the belts is in a range of several hundreds of micrometers, some of which  even have a length of millimeters. The structure and morphology were researched by XRD, SEM, CEA and XPS measurement. The result indicates the sample is graphite-C₃N₄. 

The existence of multiple positive solutions of differe ntial equation (φ(y′))′+g(t)f(t,y)=0 under nonlinear boundary value condi tion y(0)-B₀(y′(0))=y(1)+B1(y′(1))=0 is studied, where g is allowed to be singular at the end points of (0,1). The authors prove with the use of L eggett-Williams fixed-point theorem that the problem has at least three positi ve solutions. By further using the theorem, they show that more, even infinitely many positive solutions may be obtained.
