Abstract:

Abstract:Objective To discuss the expressions of SLeX and CD24 in laryngeal squamaous cell carcinoma(LSCC) tissues and clarify their roles in the occurrence and development in of LSCC. Methods The expressions of SLeX and CD24 in 42 cases of LSCC tissues,24 cases of adjacent tissues, and 20 cases of normal mucosa tisses  were detected by immunohistochemical method . Results The positive expression rates of SLeX in laryngeal cancer tissues group, adjacent tissues group and normal tissues group were 71.4%,37.5%,and 30.0%,respectively. The positive expression rates of CD24 in laryngeal cancer tissues group, adjacent tissues group and normal tissues group were 64.3%,33.3%,and 25.0%,respectively. The strong positive expression rates of SLeX in laryngeal cancer tissues group, adjacent tissues group and normal tissues group were 50.0%,8.3%,and 5.0%, respectively. The strong positive expression rates of CD24 in laryngeal cancer tissues group, adjacent tissues group and normal tissues group were 35.7%,4.2%,and 0.0%,respectively. The positive expression rates of SLeX and CD24 had  significant  differences among laryngeal cancer tissues,  adjacent tissues and normal tissues (P<0.01). There was no significant difference between adjacent tissues and normal tissues (P>0.05). The strong positive expressions of SLeX and CD24 had significant correlation with the metastases of the cervical lymph nodes, the clinic stages and histopathological classification. The expression level of SLeX had positive correlation with CD24 in LSCC tissue (r=0.695,P<0.05).Conclusion The expressions of SLeX and CD24 are related to the occurrence and development of LSCC. The detection of the expressions of SLeX and CD24 has clinical significance on  biotherapy and prognosis of LSCC.
