Abstract:

Objective To detect the expressions of neurofilament and myelin basic protein in acoustic tumor tissues and explore the growth features of cells in acoustic tumor tissues. Methods immunofluorescence labeling and immunoblotting analysis were performed to detect the expressions of neurofilament and myelin basic
protein in acoustic tumor tissues in 15 patients with acoustic tumor(acoustic tumor group) and  5 cases of normal peripheral nerves (control group). Results  The expression of myelin basic protein  indicating the be
ginning of myelination in acoustic tumor tissues was negative. The expression ofaxon marker neurofilament
was also negative. But the expressions of neurofilament and myelin basic protein in control group were positive. Conclusion The axon or myelin are compact abscent in acoustic tumor tissues,it indicates that the cells of acoustic tumor is in a premyelinating state, and lose the ability to form compact mylin or remyelination.

Key words: myelin basic protein;acoustic tumor;neurofilament
