Demodulation method of non-sinusoidal orthogonal modulation system based on whiting transformation

Abstract: Decorrelation method based on whiting transformation is proposed to improve the system demodulation performance with nonorthogonal pulse group. Simulation results demonstrate that the performance of the proposed method is better than that of matching filter. Comparison with traditional decorrelation method, the proposed method is better when Signal to Noise Ratio (PNR) is low, while it is worse when SNR is high. Based on the above properties, a new decorrelation method integrating the whiting transformation based method and traditional method is proposed. The performance of this new method is better than either of the two methods.
