Improved hidden node collision avoidance strategy based on IEEE802.15.4

Abstract: The problem of collision caused by hidden nodes in wireless network is one of the main reasons that lead to the decline in network performances. An existed strategy for hidden node collision avoidance was improved. The improved strategy optimizes the regional grouping method, and adjusts the structure of IEEE802.15.4 super-frame. Then a more flexible time slot allocation algorithm was proposed. The simulation results indicate that the improved strategy can effectively reduce network end-to-end delay and packet loss rate, and improve QoS performance.
