Numerical Simulation Research of Automotive Flow-field and Trailing Vortices

Abstract:

This paper does numerical simulation research of RED-FLAG CA774 and gets the structure of whole outer flow-field and trailing vortices. The authors successfully simulate the appearance of flow separation and towing vortices, and on the basis of numerical simulation, discuss flowing state of vertical and horizontal flow, wake vortices structure and the mechanism of flow separation, formation and development of trailing vortices. The results of numerical simulation, compared with test results, are verified correctly.
