Analysis and prediction of tire cornering property for different inflation pressure

Abstract:

Tire cornering tests were conducted on a flat plate type tire test bed under different inflation pressures and vertical loads, parameters of the UniTire model(cornering force and aligning moment)were identified, and the correlation between these UniTire parameters and the tire inflation pressure was analyzed and characterized. A test method to predict the effect of the tire inflation pressure was proposed and a tire inflation pressure effect prediction model was built. The model parameters were calculated and the prediction of the cornering properties of the tire under another inflation pressure was realized. The accuracy of predicted cornering force and aligning moment exceeds 85%, demonstrating the validity of the proposed method.
