Evaluate Light-duty Vehicle Emissions by Steady State Multi-mode Emission Test on Engine Dynamometer Bench

Abstract: Feasibility of evaluating light duty vehicle emissions by steady state multi mode emission test on engine dynamometer bench was studied.Taking NAVECO light duty passenger van as an example,by means of vehicle dynamic performance simulation,it was derived that the light vehicle urban and extra-urban driving cycle in emission measurement can be simulated by 12-mode engine steady state test cycle.It was revealed that idle condition as well as low to medium speed and load conditions are heavy weighted emission conditions and more attention should be paid to these conditions in engine emission control work.
