Structural optimization of rear longeron based on the improving the rear crashworthness

Abstract:

The rear impact model of full vehicle was built according to "GB20072—2006 the requirements of fuel system safety in the event of rear-end collision for passenger car".Collision response of 140 ms was calculated by PAM-CRASH.The comparison of simulaton and test verified the model validity and found the lack of enegy absorption of rear longeron and higher acceleration.The objective was to optimize the rear longeron structure for the increased rear crashworthness,and it was satisfied with the requirement of national standard.
