Research on wheelbase difference detection and calibration method for vehicle with curve driving status

Abstract:

Focus on the problem of calibration method of wheelbase difference tester while vehicle is driven in a curve,the detection method was studied for a vehicle with curve driving status.A calibration method with the feature of simulating and measuring the front wheel turning angle was presented to realizing the calibration method for a vehicle with curve driving status.The method adopted shaft center as the rotation center of the front wheel,which avoided the wheelbase displacement alteration of calibration apparatus caused by front wheel turning.The calibration apparatus of wheelbase difference tester for curve driving vehicle was developed.The calibration experiments of photosensitive wheelbase difference tester was performed on a with the calibration points of 0、1、3、5、10 and 20 mm,respectively.The feasibility and accuracy of the calibration method of wheelbase difference tester method for curve driving vehicle are inspected.
