Bionic self-cleaning metallic fibrous filter

Abstract:

Based on anti-adhesion characteristic of soil animal body surfaces and self-cleaning function of plant surfaces,the bionic metallic fibrous filters were designed with electroless plating nickel-phosphorus in this paper.The crystalline structure and grain size of the as-deposited metal coatings were characterized by the X-ray diffraction(XRD).The surface morphologies and microstructure were observed by scanning electron microscope(SEM) and transmission electroless microscopy(TEM).The water contact angles(WCA) were measured by optical contact angle meter(OCAM).The mechanisms of particulates collected and filter cake formed were discussed.The test results show that surface treatment can effectively increase the wettability of bionic wire mesh filter,the filter back pressure was not obviously increased and filtration efficiency get some improving.
