Effect on properties of bamboo / ABS composites by high-temperature cooking of bamboo

Abstract:

The method of high-temperature cooking was applied to separate the lignin and cellulose in bamboo powder,moreover,they were combined with the ABS separately.Relations of two different cellulose content bamboo powder,lignin and cellulose with mechanical properties and thermostability of the composites were studied.The results show that the composites has higher mechanical properties with bamboo of higher cellulose content;the heat stability of cellulose in bamboo powder was better than lignin,and the cellulose/ABS composite materials have higher mechanical properties and better thermostability.
