Microstructure and mechanical property of the welded joints of S355J2W+N steel

Abstract:

The S355J2W+N steel was welded using domestic welding wire of H08MnSiCuCrNiⅡ in the method of MAG by welding robot.Tensile,hardness and metallographic tests were carried on the welded joints we got to study the mechanical properties and microstructures of those joints.The results show that the welded joints have fine mechanical property.The biggest hardness is 215.2HV and exists in heat affected zone.Microstructure in the welding seam mainly contains proeutectoid ferrite,lath ferrite,and a little pearlite as well as granular bainite.The overheated zone mainly contains granular proeutectoid ferrite,some pearlite and granular bainite.The fine grained region mainly contains small and homogeneous ferrite and pearlite.
