Continuous zooming control for zoom lens based on double linear motors

Abstract:

A new continuous zooming component and its control system were proposed to solve such the problems as low response speed and positioning accuracy,large sight axis error of the traditional zooming system.The continuous zooming component mainly consists of double linear motors and mini-grating rulers which can simplify the zooming system structure.Furthermore a mechanical compensation method with four groups′ type is used for continuous zoom controlling of optical lens.By analyzing the feature of the optical zoom system,zoom control algorithm and hardware circuit of control system are introduced.The field experiment shows that compared with the traditional zoom control system,positioning accuracy and view axis sloshing response of the new system are improved obviously.The position error is less than 1% and the sight axis is less than 10″.
