Optimization of straight segment index between highway curves of desert grassland based on driver’s visual interest region

Abstract:

The driver's eye movement experiments during driving are conducted on a typical desert grassland highway section, The coordinates of the point of view of the driver under normal driving conditions, the driver's continuous gazing time and the vehicle speed are collected, which are then converted into an area of visual interest per unit time. Through the correlation analysis and model establishment of the area of interest area and the length of the straight line section per unit time, the shortest straight line length between the curves of the desert grassland road must be guaranteed to drive for 6 s, the ideal length of long straight line segment is driving 60 s, and the length of the longest straight segment is driving 140 s, The values is in the reasonable rang compared with the domestic and foreign relative index, which can provide a theory for the selection of the index of the straight line between the curves in the desert grassland area.
