Stochastic resonance non-linear filter characteristic of cascaded bistable systems

Abstract: On the basis of stochastic resonance of cascaded bistable systems, a nonlinear lowpass filter characteristic can be revealed due to the energy transfer mechanism from high frequency area to low frequency area. According to the different energy distributions of signals frequency, it has been demonstrated by two simulated experiments that an effective lowpass filter can be achieved by choosing an optimal order. A metal cutting application proves its engineering practicability.
