Abstract:

Abstract:Objective  To study the expression of murine double mimute 2(MDM2) protein in normal ovarian tissue,benign ovarian tumor and epithelial ovarian carcinoma tissue and to clarify the relationship between MDM2 protein and clinical pathological features of epithelial ovarian carcinoma tissue.Methods Surgical resection specimens  were selected,including 20 cases of normal ovarian tissue,20 cases of benign ovarian epithelial tumor and 58 cases of epithelial ovarian carcinoma.The expression of MDM2 protein was detected by immunohistochemical method. Results The expression of MDM2 protein in epithelial ovarian cancer tissue was significantly higher than those in normal ovarian tissue and benign tumor tissue（P＜0.05）.The expression of MDM2 protein was enhanced with the increasing of the surgical stage,but there were no significant differences in different histopathological grades and histological types（P＞0.05）.Conclusion The high expression of MDM2 protein may contribute to the incidence and development of epithelial ovarian carcinoma,and its high expression may predict more aggressive tumor with poor prognosis and easy relapse.
