Abstract:

Abstract:Objective To observe whether there are some immunity molecules in the lacrimal sac mucosa, and to testify the immune ability of lacrimal sac mucosa associated lymphoid tissue (MALT). Methods The primary antibodies (IgA,IgG,SC, and
lysozyme) in 8 normal human lacrimal sac mucosa were detected with SP method, at the same time the IgA,IgG,SC,and lysozyme in the inferior turbinate mucosa were al
so detected. Results The positive expressions of IgA,IgG,SC and lysozyme in the inferior turbinate and lacrimal sac mucosa were found. The expressions of IgA in the inferior turbinate mucosa was stronger than that in lacrimal sac mucosa (P<0.05). The expressions of IgG,SC and lysozyme were similar in both tissues (P>0.05). The positive cell expression rates of all immunity molecules in both tissues were similar(P>0.05). Conclusion The lacrimal sac mucosa contains  IgA,IgG,SC and lysozyme. It suggests that lacrimal sac mucosa posses the immune  function;the mucosa should be protected during the treatment of lacrimal sac diseases.
