Abstract:

Abstract:Objective To investigate the genetic association between the PTEN single polymorphisms and laryngocarcinoma in Chinese Han population. Methods The method of PCR-based restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) analysis was used to detect the genotypes of rs1903858 and rs701848 of PTEN gene in 253 subjects, including 149 sporic laryngocarcinoma patients(case group) and 104 controls(control group). The association between anti-oncogene PTEN single nucleotide polymorphism and laryngocarcinoma was analyzed with SPSS10.0. Results The genotypic frequencies of the 2 SNPs of anti-oncogene PTEN did not deviate from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium in both case and control groups. The allelic and genotypic frequencies of the 2 SNPs had no remarkable differences between case and control groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Neither rs1903858 nor rs701848 of the PTEN gene has no association with laryngocarcinoma  in Chinese Han population.
