Electronically controlled hydrostatic pressure driving system for self-walking heavy cannon

Abstract: An electric-hydraulic proportional control over cannon hydrostatic driving system was developed.Analysis,modeling and simulation were performed on the electric-hydraulic proportional variable-capacity pump and variable-displacement motor system.The concordance between the output pressure-flow curve and the target constant power curve was validated through tests on cannon hydrostatic driving system,revealing that the self-regulation function of cannon driving system comes true.It is possible to achieve speed induced control by ECU and to enhance the efficiency of driving system.As an example of hydrostatic pressure driving system for military vehicles,numerical simulation and measured results indicate that application of hydrostatic driving system leads to significant energy-saving and cannon weight reduction,thus improving cannon maneuverability in fighting and transfering.
