Information collection and processing method for intelligent traffic system based on IPv6

Abstract:

The shortcomings of current traffic information collection and processing methods were analyzed. Based on IPv6, a framework was designed for the Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) with new method of information collection and processing. By using C language and data generated by VISSIM traffic simulation software, the method can realize intelligent matching of vehicles, roads, persons and buildings. The method supports ITS by providing both the realtime track of a microvehicle and the judgment of realtime regional traffic status.
