Structure of spring steel spot welded joint and prediction for joint hardness

Abstract:

Based on the continuous cooling transformation curve of spring steel, a numerical model for structure of spring steel spot welded joint in continuous cooling transformation process was built. Considering the characteristics of spot weld temperature field, a numerical model of random tempering structure transformation was built based on parameter λ, and the prediction for hardness distribution of spot welded joint was realized. The prediction data agreed well with the measured results.
