Error analysis for aspherical bending lapping tool

Abstract: The bending deformation of the aspherical bending lapping tool under the action of bending moment was analyzed according to its deformation feature in high speed lapping process. It was shown that the influence of the height of the lapping tool on its bending error is more significant than the influence of the width. A case study was carried out, which shows that in the calculation of the bending error it is convenient to take the width of the lapping tool as a variable and the height as a constant. In such way the bending error of the lapping tool can be reduced and the accuracy can be improved.
