Braking control system for parallel hybrid electric vehicle with fuzzy control logic

Abstract: Based on the analysis and comparison of the various brake control strategy of hybrid electric vehicle(HEV), a new brake control strategy was proposed. A control model of the brake system was built and tested under the environment of MATLAB/Simulink. Considering the constant change of the total and the regenerated braking torques a fuzzy logic approach was used to adjust dynamically the hydraulic braking torque, so that the regenerated and the hydraulic braking torques can work in coordination. The simulation results show that the proposed strategy is robust and effective.
