Analysis of energy conservation potential of novel pure electric vehicle with dual motors configuration

Abstract: A novel pure electric vehicle with dual motors configuration is introduced. The energy conservation potential and mechanism of this new vehicle are analyzed. First, the structural characteristics and operating mode are investigated. Then the parameters of the powertrain and control strategy are designed. The rationality of the parameters and the validity of the control strategy are demonstrated in MATYLAB/Simulink. As compared to the traditional pure electric vehicle, the energy conservation potential of the new pure electric vehicle with dual motors is around 10%.
