Method of rollover pre-warning for articulated loader

Abstract:

A rollover prewarning method for articulate loader is proposed. Firstly, the steering angle, boom lift angle, bucket rotation angle and boom cylinder pressure are measured. Second, with these information and using multi-body dynamics algorithm, the stability diagram is calculated, which is an enclosed plot in polar coordinates to show the rollover angles in different directions. Third, according to the slope angle and the relative orientation of the loader toward slop measured by gyroscope, the state point of loader stability is determined in the stability diagram. Finally, early warning is achieved by judging if the state point is close to the boundary of the stability diagram. The accuracy of stability diagram and the feasibility of early warning method are verified by the model experiments.
