Abstract: Based on Logistic map, chaotic frequency hopping codes were produced by using return map and the idea of symbolic dynamics. The obtained codes have better performance compared to the conventional ones and are immune to prediction and interception. Furthermore, chaotic frequency hopping CSK and OFDM communication systems were designed and realized with the proposed codes. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the systems possess good behavior in anti-jamming and reduction of both noise and multipath interference.

Key words: communications, chaos, frequency hopping code, frequency hopping communication system, return map, BER
