Active return-to-center control method for electric power steering

Abstract: An active return-to-center control method without using steering angle sensor was proposed, and it was integrated into the electric power steering system control program in the form of software to improve the vehicle return-to-center capability without additional system components. The real vehicle test results showed that the proposed method can effectively improve the vehicle return-to-center capability with a good application perspective.
