Design modification for automotive body structure based on seat pull safety performance

Abstract: In order to control and optimize the protection performance of the passenger in advanced vehicle design, Body-in-White (BIW) seat anchorage strength is studied according to the national law of seat pull. The body structure strength performance is evaluated and improved under seat pull load case. The body structure passes the bench test, which indicates that the method of strength analysis under seat pull load case possesses a big advantage regarding reliability and appication.
