Analysis of the pixel distribution in the adjacency

Abstract:

Based on theory of digital image formation, the pixel distribution in the adjacency is analyzed. Then two distribution functions of pixel value jump in the adjacency are proposed. Nonlinear least square method is employed in the experiment to fit the distribution results from the testing images. DPF function is then inducted to compare the proposed functions with other distribution functions in the literature\[8,12\]. It is shown that the proposed functions have higher degree of fitting and can give better description of the pixel distribution in the adjacency.
