Shift quality evaluation model based on ideal shift process

Abstract: In this paper, the shift quality evaluation methods of stepped automatic transmission are analyzed first. Then the evaluation criteria of the shift quality are established based on the power-on up-shift of Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). Finally, the shift quality objective evaluation method of DCT under ideal shift process is proposed. Comparison tests show that the proposed objective evaluation method is in good agreement with the subjective evaluation methods. The model provides a new shift quality evaluation approach for stepped automatic transmission.
