Variable Horizon Robust Model Predictive Control for Timevarying Uncertain Systems

By analyzing the feasibility and stability of systems with polytopic description, we proposed a variable horizon robust model predictive control algorithm. Retaining the same feasible set of initial conditions with the existing algorithm, our algorithm guarantees the robust stability of the closedloop system once the problem is initially feasible. The effectiveness of this algorithm is illustrated by a simulation example.

Using the theory of bivariate Hermite interpolation, we found the necessary condition of a quadratic function’s continuity on a triangular vertex and proved the existence of one quadratic function that is C1blendingwith three given quadratic functions. Furthermore, we investigated the problems of C1 blending in a open multiangular field and close quadrangular field respectively.

Following Feigenbaum’s kneading subshifts, we introduced the notion of * product subshift under the wider sense. By investigating the relationship between * product subshift and substitution subshift, and by using the known results on substitution subshifts, we proved that every * product subshift is minimal, uniquely ergodic, nonchaotic in the sense of Li and Yorke and has zero topological entropy, from which we deduced that every Feigenbaum’s kneading subshift also exhibits the above properties.

By using the well known KKM theorem on FC-spaces, an improved KKM type theorem was established and another form of KKM type theorem was given by introducing the definition of s-trappable, and then a continuous selection theorem on FC-space was obtained by the partition theorem of unity. Finally, several existence theorems of coincidence point were derived as the application of the aboveresults.

We studied the estimations for coneigenvalues of a matrix, introduced the concept of basic coneigenvalues, and gave some sufficient conditions to identify a nonsingular matrix by means of the constructive geometry method that defines hyperplane in real spaces. Moreover, a new inclusion interval of basic matrix coneigenvalues was also studied and a useful estimation was also given.

The flow in a cavity with a sinusoidal wavy bottom was simulated numerically by the lattice Boltzmann method. The treatment of the lattice Boltzmann method was investigated. An accurate curved boundary treatment of secondorder accuracy was used. This treatment is a combination of the bounce back scheme with interpolation, it is relatively reliable, accurate, and easy to implement. Numerical results of the streamlines, the vorticity contours and the location of the vertical center are given to analyze the variation of the flow pattern for different Reynolds numbers.

The partial differential equation studied was first transformed into the ordinary differential equations, and then the Trotter product formula of exponential function was used to approximate the coefficientmatrix of these ordinary differential equations. The coefficient matrix was separated into smallblock matrixes, and CrankNicolson method was used to obtain results. So a new difference scheme of variable coefficient diffusion equation was thus obtained. It is an explicit difference scheme with simple calculation and unconditional stability. Some properties of this scheme were discussed. Subsequent numerical experiment shows that the presented method possesses simple calculation and high accuracy.

On the basis of an equivalent form of the aggregate function, we proposed the modified aggregate constraint homotopy method, which makes the initial parameterized feasible set contain and approach the feasibleset of the original nonlinear optimization problems from the exterior as the parameter reduces to 0. Hence the modified aggregate constraint homotopy method can solve the K-K-T point close to the boundary of the feasible set, as the aggregate constraint homotopy method may not solve. Moreover, the modified aggregate constraint homotopy method also enlarges the choice scope of the initial point.

On the basis of multiple hypothesis testing, we proposed a feature weighted naive Bayesian algorithm, which outputs many sets of feature words by means of feature selection, and assigns a coefficient to each set of feature words which is used to construct the classifier in terms of the error rate of multiple hypothesis testing. This algorithm was used in the text classification of the mayor’s public access line project, where we realized the automatic classification of complaint texts by constructing three feature weighted naive Bayesian classifiers. Compared with those of the traditional methods, the efficiency and accuracy of our classifier are higher.

The SPRINT was improved by introducing a dynamic data structure so as to resolve the problems that SPRINT makes use of multiple attribute lists to store data which occupies system resources, splits were carried out by way of establishing hash table, and the node splitting process is relatively complex. The example result shows that both the spatial complexity in attribute lists and the temporal complexity in the manipulation of split node have been decreased by the improved SPRINT. Finally, SPRINT’s working process was discussed under distributed environment.

A feature extraction and retrieval algorithm based on childblock partition and area division using discrete cosine transformation and singular value decomposition is proposed. First the image is divided into childblocks, discrete cosine transformation is used to extract important coefficients as color feature of the childblock, and then the image is divided into areas, some matrixes are constructed of the discrete cosine transformation coefficients in this area, which are submitted to singular value decomposition to gain the retrieval feature vector to accomplish image retrieval. Experiments show that the proposed algorithm gains good recall and precision, and has a good retrieval effect.

Based on the near infrared absorption spectrum analysis of noninvasive blood glucose, this paper puts forward a new technique for t he infrared absorption spectrum analysis of blood. By means of the measurement of in frared absorption spectra of the normal people’s whole blood, serum and high  glucose’s whole blood, application of the artificial neural network BP arithmetic, and with the absorption values of sixteen characteristic wavelengths as the network characteristic parameters, the network training was carried out. Only repeating 11 times, can the network training reach the error precision required. The error between -0.01~0.03 mmol/L fulfils the requirement of national metrological verification regulation on biochemical analysis. This research result shows valuable prospects for blood infrared absorption spectrum analysis and disease diagnoses.

A new kernel based fuzzy clustering algorithm was proposed on the basis of combining the kernel technique with the rules of the im proved fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm. In the proposed algorithm, the sample points are mapped into the feature space via introducing the kernel function into the clustering model to improve the performance. The new algorithm is robust to the noises because it relaxes the constraint conditions used in the fuzzy c-means clustering model. We compared the results with those of some most frequently used clustering algorithms to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

A Hybrid Powell Search and Local Constriction Approach Particle Swarm Optimization with Nonlinear Varying Inertia Weight for Unconstrained Optimization

This paper proposes a hybrid algorithm (Powell-NLCPSO) based on the Powell search method and the local constriction approach particle swarm optimization with nonlinear varying inertia weight for unconstrained optimization. PowellNLCPSO is very easy to implement in practice since it does not require gradient computation. The modification of both the Powell search method and the particle swarm optimization intends to produce faster and more accurate convergence. The main purpose of the paper is to demonstrate how the standard particle swarm optimizers can be improved by incorporating a hybrid strategy. The computational results of a suit of 20 test function problems taken from the literature show that the hybrid PowellNLCPSO approach outperforms other three relevant search techniques (i.e., the original PSO, the guaranteed convergenceparticle swarm optimization (GCPSO) and hybrid NMPSO) in terms of solution quality and convergence rate. In a later part of the comparative experiment, the PowellNLCPSO algorithm is compared to various most uptodate cooperative PSO (CPSO) procedures appeared in the literature. The comparison report still largely favors the PowellNLCPSO algorithm in the performance of accuracy, robustness and function evaluation. As evidenced by the overall assessment based on computational experience, the new algorithm has been demonstrated to be extremely effective and efficient at locating bestpractice optimal solutions for unconstrained optimization.

Survivability and channel allotting of Ad Hoc networks are solved based on put plane together and combining with emulator. The Ad Hoc network is built up with several circles with a radius of 100 units in an area of 1 000 × 1 000 units. The lapping efficiency corresponding to the intersection of 6 circles with inscribed regular hexagons is gained when the intersecting part is no less than 5%, thus all the region can be covered with 45 circles, and data can be exchanged by choosing 3 channels. And the lapping efficiency corresponding to the intersection of 4 circles with inscribed squares is gained when the intersecting part is no less than 18%, thus all the region can be covered with 64 circles, and data can be exchanged by choosing 2 channels. The experimental result indicates that the method can guide a variety of cellular mobile communication network.

Various excitation light sources were used to compare the effects of eliminating characters background from inkfingerprints by spectral imaging and luminescence. Totally 81.3% of inkfingerprints treated by spectral imaging reached identification level, while they were treated by luminescence, the identification effect is very poor. Spectral imaging shows much more advantages than luminescence in eliminating characters background from inkfingerprints. As a latest nondestructive optics technique, spectral imaging will show a great potential in fingerprint detection.

Improved FSHPS of Hyperchaotic Rssler System

The problem of full\|state hybrid projective synchronization (FSHPS) of hyperchaotic Rssler systems was studied based on Lyapunov stability theory. Adaptive control rules were proposed for Rssler hyper chaotic systems. Theoretical analysis and numerical simulation show that the controlling strategy can implement full\|state hybrid projective synchronization for the chaotic systems with different initial conditions. The paper for the first time propose the synchronization that of the hyperchaotic Rssler system when its response system also has the constant diagonal matrix 〖WTHX〗α〖WT〗 simultaneously. In this letter, we used the term “IFSHPS” (an acronymfor improved full-state hybrid projective synchronization) to distinguish the “FSHPS”. The improved FSHPS scheme was given and illustrated with hyperchaotic Rssler system as an example. The corresponding numerical simulation results were presented to verify the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Lowlying Energy Spectra of Barrier Spinunpolarized Li Quantum Dots in Magnetic Fields

The methods for fewbody physics are introduced to investigate the lowlying energy spectra of a barrier spinunpolarized Li quantum dot (QD) under an arbitrary strength in a magnetic field. A twodimensional threeelectron QD bound by a positive impurity, which is located on the zaxis at a distance d from the QD plane (the xy plane), is called a barrier Li QD. When electron spins were unpolarized, the dependence of the lowlying energy of the barrier Li QD on an external magnetic field B and the distance d was obtained. The angular momentum L of the lowest state is found to jump not only with the variation of B but also with that of d. Then these results were analyzed by using dynamics.

OZI rule violations were investigated in the decay of cc mesons with spin 0, and gave an estimate of the contributions from intermediate states to the decay branching ratios. OZI rule violations in those mesons decay processes were discussed. The calculation results for those decay were compared with the experimental observations, which show there are different OZI rule violations in those decay processes.

We experimentally demonstrate the erasure of stored optical information in a Pr3+∶Y2SiO5 crystal by applying an erasing pulse to destroy atomic spin coherence. We observed an erasing efficiency of about 85% and discussed the erasure of stored optical information by applying different pulses. 

La0.7Ca0.3Mn1-xCuxO3( bulk samples with different Cu contents (x=0~0.15) were prepared by solid reaction method. Temperature dependence of Cu doped samples was studied in a range of 77~300 K. The result indicates that the resistivity of the sample without Cu doped follows the T2.5 model in ferromagnetic phase at low temperatures, while in paramagnetic phase it obeys the small polaron hopping model. Low doped sample match the T4.5 model at low temperatures in ferromagnetic phase. With the doping content increasing, no single model satisfies our experiment in both ferromagnetic phase and paramagnetic phase. This indicates much more complicated electric transport mechanism of high doped samples.

The doseenhancementfactors of different thicknesses of AuCuPc interfaces were calculated via MonteCarlo method. The calculated results demonstrate that the thickness of Au has an distinct effect on dose enhancement of Xray nearby the AuCuPc interface. When the thickness of Au is 0~8 μm, doseenhancementfactor of X-ray increases along with the increase of the thickness of Au.

Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Mesoporous Carbon

A new type of mesoporous carbon (denoted as C-MTS-9) was synthesized with mesoporous titanosilicate MTS-9 as template. The template MTS-9 prepared from zeolite “seed solution” has some common structural characters including the thicker wall, the higher hydrothermal stability, disorder in some extent, zeolitelike connectivities in the wall. The mesoporous carbon sieve C-MTS-9 was investigated by XRD, TG, TEM, and N2 adsorption/desorption techniques. The characteristic results show that the mesoporous carbon sieve C-MTS-9 has larger BET surface areas than conventional CMK-3. In addition, the mesoporous carbon sieveC-MTS-9 exhibits narrower pore size distribution. In particular, the mesoporous carbon sieve C-MTS-9 shows interesting electrochemical doublelayer capacitance (EDLC) behavior resulted from regular 3D interconnected mesopores.

Ceftriaxone sodium was determined by flow injection chemiluminescence, which is based on the strong enhancement effect of ceftriaxone s odium on LuminolK3Fe(CN)6chemiluminescence system in the alkaline medium. Under the optimum conditions, the determination range of method is 0.1~400 mg/L and the detection limit is 0.06 mg/L. The relative standard deviation for the determination of 0.2 mg/L ceftriaxone sodium is 1.6%(n=10). It has been satis factorily applied to the determination of ceftriaxone sodium in the injections.

Fifteen teeth remains excavated from Zhagunluke cemeteries were analyzed for the hypervariable control region (HVRI) and haplogroup diagnostic SNPs of the mitochondrial DNA genome. NJ tree and multidimensional scaling analysis were constructed based on pairwise Fst values. The results show the affinity of the ancient population to Central Asian populations in matrilineal lineage. It is significantly that the eastern Eurasian factor of Zhagunluke population was increased obviously compared with that of the populations in Xinjiang province. It may be reflected by the special locality and time of the cemeteries.

With pT7 as a vector, ΔSHP-1, a recombinant protein containing the catalytic domain of protein tyrosine phosphatase SHP-1, was highl y expressed in E.coli cells. The enzyme was further purified to near homogeneity. With the purified recombinant enzyme as a target, aqueous extracts of 157 traditional Chinese herb medicines were analyzed for their abilities to inhibit SHP-1. Two most potent inhibitors, namely, cornel and dandelion, were identified, and their IC50 values and inhibitory types were further analyzed. This study thus established a good system to screen inhibitors of SHP-1 and demonstrated the potential of traditional Chinese medicines in treatment of immunological diseases and diabetes.

Ficin and papain are both cysteine proteinase. Comparison of the primer structures suggests the similarities between the active site portions of papain and ficin. In the present study the properties of ficin were analyzed to further know about the enzyme and to extend the comparison of it with papain. Being different from papain, ficin displays a resistance to lower temperatures, a wider range of pH values, and better binding of substrate. The result suggests that ficin is suitable for application.

Fortythree dominant middlelate mature maize hybrids in Jilin Province were selected in this study, from which DNA was extracted and amplified with 10 pairs of simple sequence repeat (SSR) primers, the products were detected with 8% polyacrylamide gelelectrophoresis. Clear and stable profiles of 43 samples were gained and the DNA fingerprinting database of 43 middlelate mature maize hybrids was established.

Factors Affecting Adsorption of Lead and Cadmium onto Excess Sludge Obtained from Corn Processing Wastewater Treatment Station

The excess sludge driven from corn processing wastewater treatment station was applied to absorbinglead and cadmium. The factors affecting the adsorption including adsorption time, temperature, pH value, excess sludge mass and the coexisting of lead and cadmium were investigated and analyzed. The result shows the adsorption of lead and cadmium onto the sludge is a quick process and the temperature has a less effect on the adsorption of lead and cadmium onto the sludge. The optimal adsorption pH range of the system for lead or cadmium is from 4 to 8. The adsorption capacity of lead and cadmium onto the sludge increases with the sludge mass increasing; the optimal sludge mass for lead  adsorptionis 0.5 g/L, the optimal sludge mass for cadmium adsorption is differe nt for the different initial concentration of cadmium and the value is between 0.5 g/L and 2 g/L. In the coexisting adsorption system of lead and cadmium, lead coexisted has an inhibitory effect on the adsorption of cadmium and cadmium coexisted has little effect on the adsorption of lead.

The distribution characteristics of nutrient and chloro phyll a in the ice layer and water during the icebound season in the landscape water of a certain park of Changchun and the relationship between nutrient and chlorophyll a were studied. The results show that the content of nutrient in ice layer was about onethird that of it in water and the content of chlorophyll a in ice layer was about onefifth that of it in water during icebound season. The inorganic nitrogen was main component part and their concentrations were ρNH+4NO-3NO-2 in water; the phosphorus was mostly soluble in water; the concentration of chlorophyll a increased slowly throughout icebound season and ρNH+4,, ρTP, in the low level water were higher than the corresponding ones in the high level water.
