Abstract:

Objective To investigate the condition of neuroses in the patients with hypertension of Changchun city in Jilin province ,and to analyze its influencing factors and provide evidence for the prevention and treatment of the  patients with hypertension. Methods Stratified cluster sampling method was conducted in the local health service centers. 15 health service centers were chosen. 1 216 patients with hypertensionwere informed by the doctors and 999 participants who were interviewed face to face using the version 3.0 of the World Health Organization Composite International Diagnostic Interview(WHO-CIDI-3.0) successfully completed the interviews and diagnosed by International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems, tenth revision(ICD-10). Lifetime prevalence,12-month prevalence and 30 d prevalence were used to describe the different kinds of neuroses in the patients with hypertension. The  χ2 test was used tocompare the  distribution characteristics of 12-month prevalence of neuroses in the patients with hypertension between various groups. Logistic regression was used to analyze the  general demographic characteristics and psychosocial factors. Results The lifetime prevalence of neuroses in the patients with hypertension was 14.6%,the 12-month prevalence was 10.8%,and the 30 d prevalence was 7.9%.The Logistic analysis results showed that four influencing factors were found,age(60-69 years,≥70 years),negative life events, positive coping style, and life satisfaction and their OR(OR95%CI) values were 0.412(0.216,0.784),0.308(0.139,0.683),1.010(1.003,1.017),0.670(0.454,0.989),and 0.934(0.896,0.974),respectively. Conclusion The prevalence of neuroses in the patients with hypertension is higher. Age is one of the influencing factors, and after 60 years old, the older the patient is,the lower prevalence of neuroses. Negative life events can increase the risk of neuroses in the patients with hypertension. Positive coping style and high life satisfaction can reduce the risk of neuroses in the patients with hypertension.
