Joint parameter estimation based on uniform linear array of double-base MIMO radar

Abstract: A minimum norm algorithm is proposed to implement the joint estimation of direction of departure and direction of arrive under the background of Gaussian color noise. The minimum norm algorithm is based on the higher order cumulant aimed at the Uniform Linear Array (ULA) double-based MIMO radar. By utilizing the orthogonality between joint steering vector matrix and the noise subspace, a minimum norm vector is obtained from the all noise singular vectors. So the calculation complexity is reduced and the parameter estimation accuracy is improved. The simulation results show that the performance of the proposed minimum norm algorithm is better when SNR is low.
