Simulation on energy consumption of truck fleet on expressway under background of vehicle⁃infrastructure cooperative environment

Abstract:

In order to study the issue of how to form a more energy-efficient platoon of trucks under the background of vehicle road collaboration， three classic truck models were selected as the research objects and simulation parameters were set with driving speed of 22 m/s and spacing of 4.4 m. Single vehicle （homogeneous） and multiple vehicle （heterogeneous） queues of single， two， and three vehicles were simulated， an ideal simulation calculation domain to analyze the overall energy consumption and energy-saving effect of platoon through XFlow was established. The results showed that the platoon with the highest and lowest energy efficiency rates among the two platoon were the 2-2z and 6-2z fleets， with queue energy efficiency rates of 20.67% and 3.12%， respectively. The teams with the highest and lowest energy efficiency rates among the three platoon are the 2-2z and 6-6-2z fleets， respectively， with queue energy efficiency rates of 31.08% and 3.22%.
