Existence of BV Solutions for a Class of Systems of Quasilinear Hyperbolic Equations with Measures as Initial Conditions

The aim of this paper is to discuss the existence of global BV solutions for a class of systems of quasilinear hyperbolic equ ations with Radon measures as initial conditions. We firstly considered its regularized problem. With the aid of a series of critical analysis and by a limit process, we obtained the existence of global solutions for the regularized problem. In particular, we also obtained the uniform BV estimates for it. Then again, by a limit process, the existence of global BV solutions for the original problem was obtained.

We studied a class of second order ordinary differential equations with fourpoint boundary value problems which are widely applied to many fields. We obtained the existence property of a solution for this class of problems using the upper and lower solution method, comparison principle and th e Schauder fixed point theorem. We also provided a numerical example to illustrate the theory.

A group of Saul’yev asymmetric difference schemes for approach the fourth order parabolic equations is given in this paper. Using the asymmetric difference schemes and the symmetric CrankNicolson type scheme, we constructed the parallel alternating difference schemes, which are absolutely stable. Numericalexperiments for the model problem show that the accuracy and stability of the schemes are good.

A class of Robin boundary value problems are considered. Under suitable conditions, firstly, the formal outer solution of the original problem is constructed with the expansion method of power series. Secondly, shock layer corrective term near the interior point in the interval is constructed via the transformation of stretched variable. Finally, the existence and uniform validity in the whole interval and asymptotic behavior of solution for the original Robin boundary value problems are proved by means of the theory of differentialinequalities. The satisfying results are obtained.

We presented the sufficient conditions for thediscriminant result of FDEA-DA model being invariable on new decision making units increasing. We also deducedthe conditions that the increased dec ision making units will satisfy for the discriminant result keeping invariable and the optimal solution being consistent before and after increasing decision making units.

We studied the existence of positive periodic solution for a kind of predatorprey cubic Kolmogorov impulsive system. The system is transformed into equivalent operator equations by introducing operator in the suitable Banach space. By means of property of homotopy invariance of coincidence degree, it is proved that the operator satisfies the conditions of continuation theorem in coincidence degree. The sufficient conditions of the existence of positive periodic solution for the system are obtained. The paper generalizes and improves the result in the literature.

We studied the obstruction phenomenon aris ing from the solution of the evolution p-Laplaceequation with p∈(1,2)∪(2,+∞). The L-obstruction phenomenon in the case of p>2(slow diffusion) and the L1-obstruction phenomenon in the case of 1<p<2 (fast diffusion) were proved respectively. For the slow diffusion equation with the source term, we also obtained the finite propagation property of solution.

Damage identification based on flexibility matrix method is suggested for engineering structures health monitoring. This method only requires low order modal parameters of structure to locate damage and identifies the degree of damage to overcome high order modal parameters being more difficult to obtain in practical application. The efficiency of the method is validated by numerical simulation of a damage cantilever beam.

The modeling system is developed by Model Driven Architecture, meets the needs of Metaobject Facility standard, extends Unified Modeling Language, and supports the technique of Aspectoriented modeling. So the difficult problem about requisite languages of different aspects and abstract layers of every system in modeling field can be resolved. By means of this modeling method, field metamodels and filed language can be upbuilt in the metamodeling phase.

We introduced a virtual job model (VJM) which achieves synchronized cross-domain resource allocation for parallel grid applications. VJM is able to prevent the resource allocation from deadlock caused by multiple parallel jobs competing resource, and to alleviate the resource waste by backfilling small jobs. VJM can work with almost all kinds of local schedulers via standard Grid Resource Allocation and Management (GRAM) protocol as it does not depend on resource reservation. We have implemented VJM in meta-scheduler CSF4 and validate the rationality of VJM by mpiBLAST-G2, a parallel bioinformatics application.

To deal with the weakness of the BP neural network in learning speed, an Deviation Units Recurrence Neural Network model is presented based on the Jordan and Elman neural network. The weight regulatingmethod is developed based on BP algorithm. Simulations on fault diagnosis were performed with this neural network model. Experimental results show that the converging speed of this network model is faster than that of the traditional BP network and this model has a good practicability. 

A new image coding method was proposed. In order to suffciently take advantage of local directionality of natural images, we adopted directional wavelet transform and greedy algorithm for suboptimal multitree tiling. Meanwhile we utilized empirical RD formula as the greedy criterion. The results indicate that our method performs better in coding gain and visual quality.

We proposed an Bayesian maximum Aposteriori (MAP) estimator with L-curve regularization for superresolution restoration which incorporated maximum Aposteriori and L-curve method. Experiments demonstrate that this method can effectively reduce and remove noise in the restoration of images, get good quality restoration images and has high super resolution performance.

A new particle swarm optimizer based method for detecting features of pointbased models is presented in this paper. It solves the fast displaying of the characteristics of large scale models. It applies modified particle swarm optimizer (PSO) to the feature detecting of object space so as to complete the search of multiobjective regions. By redefining the particle, fitness function, initial terminal condition, g-Best, p-Best and update rule of PSO, the method presented in this paper combines the local search with global search for the purpose of finding multiple targets fast. It detects feature points by fitness function which is able to estimatelocal surface variation and marks feature points to display the characteristics of model fast. The experiments show that the improved algorithm is suitable for fast detecting features of point-based large scale models.

An extension of the description logic SHOIN(D), called PB-SHOIN(D), is proposed to deal with partially believable knowledge with different levels. We defined the syntax and semantic of PB-SHOIN(D), and then studied its properties. It is shown that PB-SHOIN(D) is both paraconsistent and nonmonotonic. PB-SHOIN(D) forms a formal underpinning for the extension of the OWL DL language to deal with partially believable knowledge in the semantic web.

We proposed a new method to enhance the contrast of the finger-vein image. The method consists of three parts: wavelet denoising, contrast enhancement and binary image. In wavelet denosing, we made use of the different characteristics of each frequency band and finger-vein after wavelet transform to design different methods of denosing. In contrast enhancement, we designed histogram template equalization method. With the aid of this method, the contrast of the finger-vein image can be properly enhanced. In binary image, we just used the OTSU method. The experimental results show that our method is effective.

A novel contactless collection method was designed for palmprint recognition with high resolution. An image restoration approach based on regularization method and directional wavelet was proposed to solve the problem of the possible resulting defocus images. Theoretical and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm for imporving the current palmprint collection technique and enhancing the resolution.

We studied electron single-slit, double-slit and three-slit diffraction with a new quantum mechanics approach and obtained the following results. (1) For single-slit diffraction, the thickness of the single-slit can make a large impact on the diffraction intensity and pattern. (2) For double-slit diffraction, when the ratio of (a+d)/a=n(n=1,2,3,…), orders n,2n,3n,… are missing in diffraction pattern, when the ratio of (a+d)/a≠n(n=1,2,3,…), there isn’t missing order in diffraction pattern. (3) For double-slit diffraction, it can be found that when the thickness of the double-slit increases, the diffraction intensity and pattern will be changed, and when the thickness of the double-slit increases, the missing order phenomena disappear. (4) For three-slit diffraction, when the thickness of the slit increases, the diffraction intensity and pattern will be changed, and there is one secondary maxima and two minima between the two principle maxima.

The crystallization process of nanometer SiO2 powder under high pressure and high temperature was investigated. The experiment results show that nanometer SiO2 powder crystallizes to α-cristobalite with a little tridymite under normal pressure at 1 000~1 600 ℃, crystallizes to α-quartz under 2.0~3.5 GPa and 320~1 100 ℃, and crystallizes to coesite under 3.9 GPa and 320~1 100 ℃. The temperature of coesite formation from nanometer SiO2 is much lower than that from common α-quartz. 

Based on Mie scattering theory, the laser sacttering characteristic of microbubbles in water was studied. We presented the relationship between scattering intensity and scattering angle, that between polarisation rate and scattering angle as well as the relationship between forward scattering intensity and microbubbles radius. It was found that the forward scattering intensity linearly charged with microbubbles radius at definite incident light wavelength. This work can provide the theory model for the measurement of microbubbles.

We first investigated the perfect discrimination of mixed quantum, and analyzed the local discrimination of quantum orthogonal mixed states using the Schmidt number of the states, gaining two necessary conditions. One is that quantum orthogonal mixed states for discrimination must be product states; on the base of the results, we also proved that two arbitrary bipartite orthogonal product states can be distinguished by local operation and classical communication (LOCC). The other is that the sum of the Schmidt numbers of the mixed states should be less than the dimension of the whole Hilbert space which the states belong to. 

A parametervarying chaotic encryption scheme based on spatiotemporal twodimensional chaos sequence is proposed in this paper. Oneway coupled mapping lattice model was first used to generate spatiotemporal chaos binary sequence and each performance of the sequence was analyzed, which proves that the chaos sequence has a good pseudorandomicity. On the basis of this, a new parametervarying chaotic encryption algorithm was adopted, with the generated spatiotemporal chaos binary sequence as the original encryption key, to realize the parametervarying chaotic encryption through randomly changing the original parameter, iteration times and system parameter of the chaotic encryption system. Experimental results prove that the random varying of parameters in the chaotic encryption system can increase the complexity and long periodicity of the chaos sequence, so that it has the advantage of fastspeed encryption and high security.

With oleic acid functionalized Fe3O4 nanoparticles as the magnetic carriers, styrene and crylic acid as the monomers, and divinylbe nzene (DVB) as cross linker, the magnetic polystyrene microspheres were prepared by disperse polymerization. A series of characterizations show that asprepared magnetic polystyrene microspheres have narrower size distribution with smooth surface, fine morphology and structure. The asprepared microspheres are pretty superparamagnetic, the specific saturation magnetization of them reaches to 11.61 Am2/kg at room temperature.

We proposed a design method for the die\|face making of sheet metal forming which is based on an assistant node scheme. Besides, the authors described how to fast and accurately create the addendum and blankholder as well, and take some examples to explain the validity of the assistant node scheme on making die\|face.

A series of Dawsontype vanadiumsubstituted heteropoly acids was synthesized successfully. These compounds show an excellent activit y for the oxidation of cyclohexane with 30% H2O2 as oxidant. The reaction conditions, such as the number of the vanadium atom substituted in the heteropolya cids, amount of the catalyst, temperature, amount of H2O2 and reaction time were investigated in detail. The research results reveal that Dawsontype m olybdovanadophosphoric heteropolyacids exhibit better activities for the oxidation of cyclohexane compareable to Keggintype molybdovanadophosphoric heteropolyacids.

A rapid and nondestructive analytical method for simultaneous analysis of osthol and imperatorin in the extractant of Fructus Cnidii obtained by supercritical carbon dioxide fluid extraction (SFE-CO2) was developedby artificial neural network based on nearinfrared spectroscopy. The artificial neural network (ANN) models of original spectrum and two pretreated spectra (firstderivative and standard normal variate, respectively) of osthol and imperatorin were established. In the models the concentrations of osthol and imperatorin were determined simultaneouslyand compared. The best model of determining the concentrations of osthol and imperatorin was obtained via their firstderivative spectra.

Fluorinterminated hyperbranched poly(ether ether ketone)(HPDEEK-F) was synthesized via A2+B3 reaction. HPDEEKF was endcapped with 4-phenyl ethynyl phenol, which received phenylethynylterminated hyperbranched poly(ether ether ketone)(HPDEEK-PEP). The structures and performances of poly(ether ether ketone)s were confirmed by FTIR, 1H NMR, DSC and TGA. The experimental results show that the Tg and the thermal stability of HPDEEKPEP are higher than those of HPDEEKF. They all have a good solution property.

Intramolecular cyclization of diethyl 2-acetamido2-[2-(4-octylphenyl)ethyl] malonate was carried out in the presence of polyphosphoric acid. The major products of the cyclization were 1tetralone derivative and oxazole derivative. The structures of the product molecules were confirmed by IR,1H NMR,13C NMR, MS, 2D NMR and reduction, hydrolization reaction in our experiments respectively.

Transient surface photovoltage propertie of porphyrins and metalloporphyrins were studied. The photogenerated electronhole full separation time of porphyrin monomer was shorter than that of the dimer, and the photoge nerated electronhole full separation time of porphyrin monomer was shorter than those of metalloporphyrins. The transient surface photovoltaic signal of porphyrinCu is an especial one among those of metalloporphyrins. It had similarities to those of metal free porphyrins, and also similarities to those of metalloporphyrins. The different centralions had different influences on the separation rate of charge carriers.

We measured Raman spectra of meso-substituted tetraphenylporphyrin derivatives and analyzed the influences of donating and withdrawing substituting groups on the vibration of porphine skeletal modes. Compared with those of tetraphenylporphyrin, the frequency of stretching vibrations of (Ca—Cm) and (Cb—Cb)blue-shifted to high wave number when donating electron group was introduced (amino group), while it red-shifted to low wave number when withdrawing electron group was introduced (nitro group).

The adsorption of an endocrine disrupting compound (bisphenol A, BPA) on surface sediments (SSs) and natural surface coating samples (NSCSs) collected in the Songhua River were investigated based on the estabilishment of a rapid detection method of BPA through highperformance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Without preconcentration, the detection limit (MDLs) of BPA by HPLC combined with UV detection at a wavelength of 220 nm was 10 μg/L, and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was 2.6%~5.7%. The addition recovery was in a range of 99.4%~117.8%(n=5). The results indicate that the adsorptionof BPA belongs to a nonlinear one and the adsorption progress fit well to Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms at a significance level of p=0.001 (n=8). Compared with SSs, NSCSs had a better capacity for adsorbing BPA due to its higher organic materials contents.

Dozens of water samples were taken from typical rivers in Jilin Province at different periods in 2005 and 2006, and the permanganate value(PV), chemical oxygen demand(COD) and total organic carbon(TOC) values were measured separately. The quantitative relationship models between PV and TOC, COD and TOC, COD and PV of typical rivers in Jilin Province at different periods were established via linear regression obtained with least square method and the correlation test was carried out. The results indicate that there are significant linear correlation between PV and TOC, COD and TOC, COD and PV values of these rivers water samples at different periods. There are differences in the relationships between PV and TOC, COD and TOC, COD and PV of these rivers at different periods.

The effects of nutrients including C6H12O6, KNO3 and NaH2PO4 on the dehydrogenase activity and polysaccharide content of the substrate biofilms in the integrated verticalflow constructed wetland were studied by means of the orthogonal array design. Results show that C6H12O6 and KNO3 were the main factors to influence the dehydrogenase activity and polysaccharide content, respectively. The different combinations of the three nutrientsin different concentrations had different effects on the dehydrogenase activity and polysaccharide content of biofilms, and there existed the optimal combinations. For the dehydrogenase activity, the optimal combination of the nutrients was 0.2 g/L C6H12O6, 0.8 g/L KNO3, 0.05 g/L NaH2PO4. And for the polysaccharide content, the optimal combination was 0.2 g/L C6H12O6, 0.4 g/L KNO3, 0.2 g/L NaH2PO4. The corresponding dehydrogenase activity and polysaccharide content were 5.40 μg TF/g substrate, 12 h and 3 454.6 μg/g substrate, respectively.
