On-line adaptive algorithm for quasi-periodic disturbance rejection

Abstract: Since industrial web winding and its transport system were subjected to quasi-periodic disturbance and the disturbance frequency normally varies slowly with the winding rotation speed, and adaptive algorithm based on a phase-locked loop structure was proposed. This algorithm can cancel the disturbance after the simultaneous estimation of its phase and magnitude. The frequency analysis and the parameter design of this algorithm were also discussed. The adaptive algorithm can be plugged into the existing controller without any structure modification. Simulation results show that the proposed method can reject the quasi-periodic disturbances.
