Exponential Decay of Solutions of a ViscoelasticWave Equation with Strong Damping
GAO Yun-Zhu, GAO Wen-Jie
J4. 2010, 48 (03):  347-352.
Abstract ( 1261 )   PDF (315KB) ( 609 )

The aim of this paper is to investigated the initial boundary value problem for a system of nonlinear wave equations involving strong damping terms. The authors constructed an energy functional and studied the properties of the functional in view of the character of the system. With the above results, integral estimates and Poincaré’s inequality, an exponentially decay result of the solutions to the problem was obtained under suitable assumptions.

Abstract ( 930 )   PDF (741KB) ( 447 )

The task of seeking the weak solution (P(X),q(X)) of matrix valued osculatory rational interpolation was converted  into
computing the Groebner bases of R-submodule M of the free module over the polynomial ring. This Groebner bases can be computed recursively to obtain a parametric rational interpolation function with the Groebner bases. Choosing these parameters properly, we may get the desired  matrix valued rational interpolation function.

Abstract ( 1126 )   PDF (471KB) ( 476 )

We used filled function method to solve unconstrained problems and got the global minimum points. A class of new filled functions was obtained by means of the combination of the continuously differentiable functions whose derivatives are larger than 0. We gave corresponding convergence proofs and some special functions satisfying the conditions. Four examples show that it is more efficient to use this class of filled function to solve the problems.

The calculated results also revealed that the Co ion in the doped system was in non\|spin state with an electron configuration of t62ge0g and a valence of +3, and the Mn ion was in high\|spin state with an electron configuration of t32ge1g and also a valence of +3, nevertheless there were strong covalent interactions between the transition\|metal ions and the oxygen ions. J4. 2010, 48 (03):  478-481.
Abstract ( 1283 )   PDF (549KB) ( 463 )

ZnO/SiO2 (ZSO) composite thin films were deposited on glass substrates by means of sol\|gel method. The microstructure, crystal structure, transmission and photoluminescent properties of the samples were characterized by SEM, XRD, UV\|Vis and PL, respectively. The results of SEM show that double\|layer structure can be observed clearly. The particles became larger as the annealing temperature rised and partly agglomerated. The results of XRD indicate that hexagonal wurtzite ZnO was formed after annealing, and with the annealing temperature rising, the peak intensity increased, while particle size also increased. The results of UV\|Vis indicate that there were absorption edges for both ZnO and SiO2. In double\|layer composite thin films, the two different materials ZnO and SiO2 caused curves near 360   nm to be unsmooth, and the edges to be blue shift at the same time. The samples have a higher transmittance having been annealed at 400 ℃. The PL spectra show that there were emission peaks in the ultraviolet region and blue region separately when the samples were excited at  355 nm. The photoluminescent intensity caused by defects weakened as the defects density reduced with the rising annealing temperature.

Abstract ( 1285 )   PDF (627KB) ( 473 )

Nylon-6/montmorillonite (MMT) nanocomposite containing 4% of MMT was prepared by melt blending. The dispersion of MMT in nylon\|6 was investigated by means of X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy. It was found that the MMT layers were exfoliated and uniformly dispersed in nylon-6 matrix. When nylon-6 and nylon-6/MMT nanocomposite were drawn at the same temperature and drawing ratio in a temperature range from room temperature to 200 ℃, the  crystallinity of nylon-6/MMT nanocomposite was lower than that of nylon-6, while the MMT still had strengthening effect in nylon-6 matrix. The strengthening effect could be attributed to the interaction between MMT layers and nylon-6 molecules. The peaks of samples were seperated well from each other without being interrupted by other components peaks. RSD of daily precision was less than 4.38%, RSD  of interday precision  was 5.22%, and the method recovery was in a range from 95.2% to 99.1%.
