Abstract:

Objective: To evaluate the influence of androgen receptor(AR) in the living conditions in the triple-negative breast cancer patients, and to explore whether there is a difference in the survival rates between the breast cancer patients with positive AR and those with negative AR.Methods: PubMed,Medline,EMbase,Cochrane Library,CNKI,CBM,Wanfang, and VIP databases were systemically searched to collect the published studies about the influence of AR in the living conditions of the patients with triple-negative breast cancer. Meta-analysis was performed by RevMan 5.1 software. Results: There were 9 cohort studies were selected for Meta-analysis,4 Chinese and 5 English.1 295 patients included 362 AR+ and 933 AR-.In evaluation of study quality,7 studies scored more than 7,and 2 studies less than 6.The overall survival(OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) of the triple-negative breast cancer patients with AR+ and AR- had no differences (OR=0.70,95%CI:0.33-1.46,P=0.32;OR=0.41,95%CI:0.17-0.98,P=0.05). The 5-year DFS and OS of the AR+ patients were higher than the AR-patients(OR=0.30,95%CI:0.11-0.86,P=0.02;OR=0.19,95%CI:0.11-0.33,P<0.01).Conclusion: AR has a positive impact on the 5-year DFS and OS of the triple-negative breast cancer patients, but its influence in the 3-year and 10-year survival can't be confirmed.
