Single wheel correcting control strategy of ABS based on yaw rate prediction

The braking stability of the anti-locked braking system(ABS) on the split road was studied. A yaw rate predictor was developed based on the Kalman filtering technique, and thereby the single wheel correcting control strategy was realized. The braking distance was shortened under the prerequisite of ensuring the braking direction stability of ABS on the split road. The proposed control strategy was tested in a hardware-in-the-loop test rig and the result showed that it can enhance the ABS performance significantly.

Yaw stability for steering motion of articulated vehicle

A 3 DoF dynamic equation was derived for the articulated vehicle taking into account the body mass-center sideslip angle, the wheel sideslip angle, the lateral motion of rear body and front body. The transfer function was derived with the steering angle as the input and the body absolute yaw rate as the output. The effects of different combinations of the front and rear body steering types on the vehicle steady steering characteristic were achieved from the yaw rate gain analysis. The steady steering test and the step response test results were in similar trends with the simulated results, proving the reasonableness of the proposed dynamic equation.

Feedback linearization for steering stability control of tractor-semitrailer

A nonlinear dynamic model was built for the tractor-semitrailer and the high-speed steering stability on the low adhesive coefficient road, such as icy and snowy roads, was analyzed. The steady critical steering angles of the front wheel at the speed range of 16.7~25.0 m/s were estimated using the genetic algorithm and the phase plane method. Based on the linearization tracking theory of the nonlinear feedback, a combined feedforward and feedback controller was designed to control the front wheel active steering and the saddle direct yaw moment of the tractor-semitrailer. The simulation of vehicle urgent step steering and single lane change at high speed driving condition showed that the designed controller can improve the lateral stability of the tractor-semitrailer.

Analysis of lunar rover vibration characteristics based on rigid-flexible coupled model

In order to analyze the vibration characteristics of the lunar rover on the lunar surface environment, a rigid-flexible coupling dynamic model was built based on the 3-D modeling and the multi-body dynamics analysis software. A mathematical model was established for the lunar surface displacement power spectrum based on the NASA research. The lunar surface roughness was obtained using the harmonic superposition method. Taking the 6-wheeled lunar rover JLUIV-6 as research object, the reliability of the proposed model was validated by the typical obstacle crossing test. The vibration simulation under the excitation of the lunar surface roughness was performed using the proposed dynamic model, the vibration response of the rover body and the amplitude-frequency characteristic of the vibration acceleration were analyzed. The results showed that the lunar rover resonance frequency is within the interval of 0.8~1.8 Hz, thus provides a basis for the design and optimization of the lunar rover suspension.

Obstacle-climbing model of wheeled vehicle with oscillating body and minimum driving torque

To study the obstacle-climbing capability of wheeled vehicle with oscillating body, the general dynamic equations to climb over obstacle by single front wheel and by two front wheels are derived based on the vehicle structural characteristics. By simplification, the dynamic model of obstacle-climbing in limited position of a 2DOF hinge vehicle is deduced. According to the mechanics model of obstacle-climbing, the feasible driving torque of each wheel is calculated, which satisfies the ground attachment condition. By further analysis, the minimum feasible total driving torque to climb the obstacle is also calculated. Simulation of 2DOF hinge vehicle using ADAMS demonstrates the reliability of the proposed method.

Based on previous analysis of the dual-overrunning clutches electro-mechanical regenerative damper concept, a prototype damper is designed and built for laboratory experiments. The frequency and damping response features are tested under harmonic excitation. Prototype experiment results verify the feasibility of the damper design; meanwhile, the method to achieve high-low semi-active damping in a passive manner is testified. This study may provide the guidance for further investigating the structure of dual-overrunning clutches.

Automated identification algorithm of autobody mode

According to the characteristics of the autobody vibration modes, an automated identification algorithm based on statistics was proposed to identify the 1st order global vertical bending mode and the 1st order global twisting mode. The characteristic curve regression equation of each mode was established, and the regression analysis was made by calculating the coefficient of determination R2 to identify the target mode. A Fortran program was compiled for this algorithm and it was used to the automated identification of body modal analyses of 3 coaches. The results showed that the proposed algorithm is valid and effective.

Prediction of cavity interior noise based on energy finite element method

In order to predict the interior noise of the cavity, the basic principle of energy finite element method (EFEM) was introduced. A coupled cavity-plate-cavity energy finite element analysis (EFEA) model was built, and its interior noise was computed with numerical method. Meanwhile, a statistical energy analysis (SEA) model of cavity-plate-cavity was also built. The prediction result of the EFEA model was compared with the result of the SEA model. The result showed that they were in accordance with each other. Moreover, an EFEA model and a SEA model of cavity-front windshield-cavity were built. The responses of the outer cavities in EFEA and SEA models were respectively calculated, and the response results were compared with test. The comparison results showed that the prediction result of EFEA model was in accordance with that of SEA and test, and the prediction accuracy was also validated.

Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of vehicle interior sound quality based on semantic differential method

A new method of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation on the vehicle interior sound quality subjective evaluation was proposed based on the semantic differential to overcome the shortcoming of the traditional semantic differential method which is inefficient to rank the results of overall perception of sound samples in sound quality subjective evaluation. The sound characteristic evaluation indexes of vehicle interior sound quality subjective evaluation were established. The structure and the hierarchy of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation were defined based on the evaluation index system of the semantic differential method. The weights of the evaluation indexes were obtained according to the importance of sound characteristics in different subjective evaluation tests. Taking 15 sound samples acquired from a passenger car as evaluation objects, and the sound "luxury" as the evaluation index, subjective evaluation comparison tests between the paired comparison method and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method were performed, and the evaluation results were ranked. The results showed that the proposed subjective fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method can accurately provide the membership of evaluation ranking of sound sample perception characteristic and the ranks of the sound sample overall subjective perception under the condition of keeping the same evaluation workload.

Speed-limit scheme of traffic accident scene road section on freeway

In order to improve the safety in traffic accident scene road section in freeway and prevent from the secondary accident, this road section was divided into warning region, confluence region,buffering region,accident region,diffluence region,and termination region. Taking the driver visual field, visual acuity, and the information needs processing into account comprehensively, the speed-limit models were built for the warning region and confluence region. The speed-limit scheme of the typical traffic accident scene was obtained by quantitative processing of the related informations. The traffic capacities, the max queue lengths, the average velocities, and the standard deviations of the speed samples of different speed-limit schemes were compared in the simulation environment. The results showed that the traffic capacity has no significant difference, the average velocity is lower in the speed-limit scheme, but the max queue length and the standard deviation of speed sample decrease, improving the safety of the traffic accident scene road section.

Park and ride demand based on stochastic continuum equilibrium model

It was assumed that the travel demand density is uniformly distributed along the corridor in a monocentric city with railway and main roads and the railway has the continuously distributed stations to analyze the traveller park and ride demand distribution characteristics. A hierarchical disaggregated model was proposed considering the traffic mode choice including the car, the railway, the park and ride, and the parking lot. By the method of stochastic continuum equilibrium model in combination with numerical examples, it was found that the park and ride demand appears highest at a certain distance range and decreases with the increase of the transfer time. The park and ride lots attract some, although relatively small backward ride demand. Large park and ride demand comes from the peripheral of the city and the demand intensity decreases with the increase of the distance to the lots. When the parking lot capacity is restricted, the park and ride traveller may change the transfer lot. These results provide a reference for the planning and construction of the park and ride facilities.

Cellular automaton traffic flow model considering on-street parking

To analyze the effect of the in-street parking on the street traffic flow, the corresponding cellular automaton behavior rules were established for the vehicle behavior under the condition of in-street parking. Using these rules the traffic flow evolution under different parameters was simulated numerically, and the traffic flow phase transition characteristic was analyzed. It turned out that on the 2-direction and 2-lane street section with in-street parking, the larger probability of the vehicle changing lane to the opposite direction lane leads to the possibility of traffic flow blocking even at lower traffic flow density. The larger traffic flow density raises the traffic flow blocking probability. The larger probability of vehicle ready to stop reduces the average traffic speed, but may not necessarily raise the traffic blocking probability.

Capacity calculation for freight transportation network under comprehensive transportation system

The comprehensive freight transportation network was converted to convert the node-to-node transfer constraints to the capacity constraints of road sections. The K shortest paths of each OD pain was calculated and used as the selectable path set. Considering the influence of OD demand split or not and the freight transfer capacity of the node on the capacity of the comprehensive freight transportation network, a calculation model was built for the capacity of the comprehensive freight transportation network, and its solving idea and corresponding immune clone algorithm were presented. An example was chosen to test the proposed model and the corresponding algorithm, and the results showed that they were characterized by strong practicality.

Analysis of temperature of underground heat exchanger and efficiency of heat pump with combined cooling and heating

A thermodynamic calculation model was built for the ground source heat pump based on the G-function theory of the underground heat exchanger. The basic performance of the underground heat exchanger and the heat pump, and the main differences between the combined cooling and heating mode and the single mode were studied. The thermodynamic parameters, such as the coefficient of performance of the heat pump, and the energy consumption were analyzed comparatively by calculating the borehole wall temperatures and the fluid temperatures at the inlet and outlet of the underground heat exchanger. Taking the severe cold region and the hot summer and cold winter region as examples, the effects of the combined cooling and heating, and the single cooling or heating on the temperatures of the underground heat exchanger and the efficiency of the heat pump were studied in combination with the cooling and heating load demands.

Three-point bending properties of Zn-22Al foam sandwich panel

The sandwich panel were fabricated using Zn-22Al matrix foam as the core material and the LY12 aluminum panel as the shell. The bending behavior of the sandwich panel was studied by three-point bending test. The failure mode of the sandwich panel was observed and the influencing factors were analyzed. Applying the stiffness optimization theory of sandwich panels, the deformation mechanism of the sandwich panels was discussed. The results showed that the bending curves of the sandwich panel can be divided into three regions, including the linear deformation region, the non-linear deformation region and the unsteady region. The ultimate load of the sandwich panel decreases when the porosity of the foam is rising. The sandwich panel shows a favorable cooperative effect on mechanical property. The primary failure mode of the sandwich panel is the core shearing.

Laser lap-welding performance of ultra-high strength steel and micro-alloy steel

Based on experiments of Yb:YAG laser welding of quenched ultra-high strength steel (UHSS) EN10292TL4225 and micro-alloy steel H340LAD, the effects of welding parameters on welding quality were analyzed. Microstructures of the joints were observed using the laser confocal scanning microscopy. The tensile-shear strength and the hardness distribution of the welded joint were tested, and the microstructure of the fracture surface was analyzed by SEM (HITACHS-4300).The test results showed that the obtained joint using the optimized parameter is characterized by good microstructure and mechanical property, the quality meets the actual need of production.

The new principle for high-order aspherical surface machining is discussed. Three feasible machining techniques are analyzed in details, which are the wheel spindle forming methods that which take the workpiece axis, the geometric centre point Q, and point M on the wheel spindle as the rotating centre respectively. In addition, the mathematical models of trajectories of the three machining methods are established. Finally, the best forming technique, i.e. the wheel spindle forming method that takes point M as the rotating centre, is determined according to the requirement of machining performance, the accuracy and dynamic characteristics of the machine tool and the rationality of the structure.

Performance simulation and test of full hydraulic braking system

The working principle of the full hydraulic braking system was introduced. According to the analysis of the composing modules of the braking system, a model of the full hydraulic braking system was established by the software of AMESim, and the charging characteristics of the accumulator charging valve and the dynamic braking performance of the full hydraulic braking system were simulated. The comparison between simulation and test proved that the performance of the full hydraulic braking system meets the braking requirements in the engineering application.

Finite element analysis of blade wheel strength in hydrodynamic tractor-retarder assembly under traction condition

A finite element analysis model was built for the blade wheel strength of a certain hydrodynamic tractor-retarder assembly based on the one-way fluid-solid interaction theory. The boundary conditions and the loads of the model were analyzed. The calculation and its result reprocessing were conducted. Through the case analysis, the construction strength of the blade wheel of the hydrodynamic tractor-retarder was studied under the traction condition. The equivalent stress distribution and the overall deformation state of the blade wheel under limiting condition were obtained. An effective method was provided for the blade wheel strength analysis of the hydrodynamic tractor-retarder assembly.

Analysis and comparison of dynamic characteristics of hydraulic leveler servo system

A hydraulic servo system was designed for the full hydraulic hot leveler according to the straightening principle and the processing requirements. The straightening of plate was realized by control of the displacement of the unsymmetrical cylinder with application of the unsymmetrical servo valve and the displacement sensor. By solving the transfer functions of the unsymmetrical valve to control the unsymmetrical hydraulic cylinder and the constant back-pressure cylinder system, both position control effects of the hydraulic cylinder were analyzed by the simulation software Hyvos. It was found that the former control is obviously better than latter. The hydraulic cylinder position control precision and the plate workpiece straightness obtained in the production prototype validated the designed system. The results provide a guide for the design, simulation and control of the unsymmetrical hydraulic cylinder controlled by the unsymmetrical valve.

Effect of surface roughness amplitude on point contact mixed lubrication condition

A mathematical model was built for the mixed lubrication with point contact of rough surface. A set of mixed lubrication parameters such as ratio of lubrication film thickness, ratio of contact area,ratio of contact load, and ratio of maximum pressure were introduced to analyze the effects of 3 surface roughness amplitudes on the mixed lubrication under conditions of external loads of 800 and 80 N, and the lubricant entrainment velocities of 0~5000 mm/s. The results showed that the roughness amplitude of the contact surfaces has a significant effect on the average lubrication film thickness and the maximum pressure in the mixed lubrication region.

Prediction model of spindle dynamic characteristics affected by non-repetitive run-out of precision ball bearing and its application

The concept of non-repetitive run-out (NRRO) of the precision ball bearing was defined and introduced into the spindle system investigation. The numerical calculation formulas of NRRO caused by the geometric errors of inner and outer rings, and the ball, as well as the ball number variation of the high-speed corner contact ball bearing were derived based on the rolling bearing geometry, the elasticity theory and the raceway control theory. A dynamic prediction model was built for the spindle system to consider the effect of NRRO to reveal the impact of NRRO on the precision spindle behavior in the design stage. The calculation examples and the theoretical analysis showed that when only one ball has large error, NRRO reduces with the increase of number of balls in a rolling bearing,the effect of geometric errors in the inner and outer rings on NRRO is small,and the effect of geometric error of the ball surface is significant. On the basis of the proposed prediction model, a design method to restrain NRRO of the spindle system was proposed based on the response surface to overcome the shortcoming in this aspect of the existing deign method, providing a theoretical basis and references for the study of the precision bearing system.

Precision modeling and prediction of precise vertical machining center based on theory of multi-body system

In order to predict the machining precision of the machine tool and validate its design concept, the geometric errors of a precise vertical machining center were analyzed, and its precision prediction model was established based on the multi-body system theory. The correlations among the multi-bodies were described with the topology structure and the low-order body array. The coordinate transformation relationships between multi-bodies were described based on the homogeneous transformation matrix. The characteristic matrix and the relative motion equations of the motions between 2 arbitrary adjacent objects of the multi-body system were derived. A precision prediction model was built for the precise vertical machining center. Based on the simulated machining of a typical workpiece, the precision prediction of the machine tool was realized. The results showed that the proposed precision model can describe the systemic structure of the vertical machining center effectively and abstractively, predict the machining precision reasonably, provide a basis for the improvement of the machine tool design concept and the precision deployment.

Mechanical fault diagnosis based on empirical mode decomposition and generalized dimension

A method of mechanical fault diagnosis based on empirical mode decomposition (EMD) and generalized dimension was presented. The intrinsic mode function (IMF) was obtained from the EMD of the signal, and the generalized dimension was derived from every IMF. The box dimension, the information dimension, and the correlation dimension were extracted from the generalized dimension to make up the generalized dimension matrix. Fault diagnosis was implemented by analyzing the correlation factors of generalized dimension matrix between target signal and samples. The experiment results showed that this method with accurate fault recognition was efficient for fault diagnosis.

Trapping efficiency model of fibrous DPF based on fractal theory

In connection with the fact that the diesel engine exhaust particulate is characterized by the fractal feature, a mathematical model was built for the trapping efficiency of the fibrous diesel particulate filter (DPF) based on fractal theory, and its correctness was proved. The filtering mechanism, the trapping efficiency, and the pressure drop across the filtering element were analyzed using the fibrous material as DPF element material, and the effect of the particulate fractal dimension on the trapping efficiency was studied. The calculation results showed that the main filtration mechanism of the fibrous DPF are diffusion trapping and direct interception, the role of the inertial trapping is very small. The fibrous filter material appears least efficient in trapping the diesel particulate with size of 200~400 nm. To improve the trapping efficiency in this size range, the filter flow velocity should be reduced, and the filter temperature should be raised to enhance the diffusion trapping mechanism, and the filtering fiber diameter should be reduced, the fiber filling density should be raised to enhance the interception trapping mechanism. Comprehensive considering the trapping efficiency and the pressure drop, it can be concluded that the fiber filling density should be reduced to reduce the pressure drop and the filtering fiber diameter should be reduced to raise the trapping efficiency.

The profiles of bird wings and the special structural morphology of wing features give the wing excellent aerodynamic characteristics. However, the wing profile and structural parameters can not be directly applied in computer aided design of axial fan blade. To solve this problem in axial fan bionic blade design, the geometry of fan blade is analyzed first; then the coordinate transformation of two-dimensional (2D) cross-section parameters of fan blade to three-dimensional (3D) space is introduced. 2D coordinates of discrete points of the cross-section are handled with EXCEL to obtain 3D coordinates. The blade surface is created based on the free surface modeling function of CATIA to establish the 3D model of the blade. Computer simulation analysis is conducted by using FLUENT and results agree well with the design requirements.

Adaptive tracking algorithm based on particle filter-mean shift

An adaptive tracking algorithm based on the combination of particle filter and mean shift is proposed. First, the tracking target is segmented into different block templates, and the block template with the least color similarity to the surroundings is chosen as a tracking region. Then, the block template is adjusted adaptively to the best scale when it is tracked by the proposed particle filter method based on the mean shift. Finally, an adaptive observation model is introduced after the state estimation of particle filter, and the Gaussian noise variance and the number of particles are determined according to the change of the block template scale. Experimental results show that the performance of the proposed algorithm is better than traditional method when target body is partially occluded or its moving direction is changed.

A static chain-cluster routing protocol, SCTC, based on transmitting coordinate for wireless sensor network is proposed. Without location information of nodes, the protocol utilizes double base station to make networks into static clusters to reduce energy dissipation in dynamic clustering. It links the in-cluster nodes into a chain to decrease energy dissipation in in-cluster communication. The protocol reduces time delay by realizing parallel communication among the nodes in every cluster. It balances the energy consumption among the sensors in the network by rotating the collective layer. Simulation results show that SCTC can not only achieve reduction in energy dissipation and latency, but also can make the energy of the network burn evenly and thus improve the energy efficiency and lifetime of the networks.

In microRNA gene targets prediction there are several problems, such as the contradiction between sensitivity and specificity, contradiction between masculine threshold and test results, and the narrowing of predict scope. To solve these problems, this article discusses three new kinds of feature extraction methods: energy calibration, element ratio in seed regions, and punishment in target binding structure. These feature extraction methods cover statistics, structure and energy information. Combing the traditional and the new features, we construct classification models and test them through neural network. The results show that the new methods gather positive data and negative data respectively as far as possible, and ensure a good evaluation under higher threshold. These methods are suitable for target genes prediction of various species without increase in spending.

A fast stereo matching algorithm based on dynamic programming on limited search space is proposed to attain an accurate dense disparity map. The proposed algorithm is built on the base of dynamic programming for stereo matching and it limits the search space by an initial match sequence to reduce the number of vertices to be expanded. The multi-window aggregation strategy based on adaptive weight is proposed to improve the matching accuracy. The brightness gradient is integrated into the smoothness constraints to avoid over-punishment on disparity discontinuity on object boundary. Experimental results show that the matching speed and accuracy of the proposed algorithm are greatly improved, and the algorithm is simple and effective for stereo matching.

Vector correction and jump out of local optimum strategy for PSO

Using traditional Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) the searching results for some new benchmark functions, e.g. the 25 benchmark functions in CEC2005, are not satisfactory. An improved version of PSO was designed to suit for new benchmark functions in CEC2005. Two improvement strategies, named Vector correction strategy and Jump out of local optimum strategy, were employed in this improved PSO. When the swarm optimum remains invariable for a long time, The improve PSO can revises the whole particle vector and re-initialize the swarm or generate a new swarm optimum according to certain probability. The improved PSO was tested by the 25 benchmark functions in CEC2005, and the experimental results show that the search efficiency and the ability to jump out of the local optimum of the improved PSO are significantly improved.

A robust fundamental matrix estimation algorithm based on kernel fuzzy clustering is proposed. The residual features of match points are detected by this algorithm. Using the kernel functions, the nonlinear dividable features in the original one-dimensional space can be mapped to a high-dimensional feature space, in which the clustering can be performed effectively. The match points are classified into inliers and outliers by the fuzzy clustering method. The inliers and the outliers are modeled by Gaussian function, and the judgment values of the divisibility of the two sets are defined and calculated. The iteration will continue until the judgment value converges. Experimental results of the fundamental matrix computation on both simulated and real data demonstrate the superiority of the proposed algorithm in precision and efficiency over classical RANdom SAmple Consensus (RANSAC) algorithm.

With the development of space communication technologies, security issues in space information networks become increasingly important. However, there has been no good solution to this problem in satellite networks. This paper investigates the layered model of space information networks, which consist of satellites and access nodes; and proposes a certificate-based public key infrastructure suitable for the this model. In this model, the Certificate Management of satellite layer uses distributed CA, and the Certificate Management of other nodes (as access nodes) uses centralized CA. The proposed mode is highly scalable and has a certain degree of safety. So it is applicable to the complex and changeable environment in space information networks.

A novel 3D face feature extraction method based on 2D extended strategy is proposed. Zernike Moment Invariants of multi-pose 3D face model, which have scale, translation and rotational invariance, are extracted after preprocessing and grid normalization of 3D face models. A suitable feature evaluation measure is then proposed based on the parameter space and is applied to the evaluation of Zernike Moment Invariants and depth feature. Experimental results based on multi-pose 3D face database show that the proposed method is robust to pose variant and has a separability.

Area speed up robust feature tracking for electric image stabilization

An area Speed up Robust Feature (SURF) tracking algorithm for video stabilization is presented to improve the precision under the condition of illumination variation, noises, and partial occlusion. The improved SURF algorithm is used to extract the local area feature points and their descriptors. Then the fast search-matching Dynamic Balance KD Tree (DBKD-Tree) is used to get the matching double points. Finally, the matching double points are used to estimate the motion parameter by the principle of minimum average variance. Experiments under different illumination and noise environments and additional 20% random noise show that the invariant feature can be 100% detected repeatedly with sub-pixel precision and near zero estimation error.

Coarse alignment of fingerprint images based on orientation difference field

Fingerprint orientation field is used to align two fingerprint images coarsely in the early fingerprint image match stage; then the overlapped regions between the two fingerprint impressions are segmented. To avoid spending too much time in correlating two fingerprint orientation images, fingerprint orientation difference field is defined, and before the orientation- field-based fingerprint image alignment, the orientation field is transferred to orientation difference field. It not only reduces the computation cost, but also helps to reduce the effect of global distortion on fingerprint orientation images. Experiment results show that the proposed method can improve the accuracy and efficiency of fingerprint image alignment.

An imbalanced classifier performance evaluation method, weighted Area Under the Curve (wAUC), is proposed to solve the evaluation problem of imbalanced or class-skewed data classifiers. This method makes use of different weights in different regions according to the values of the True Positive rate (TPrate) to focus on the accuracy of positive class when calculating the weighted area under the Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve. It is beneficial to distinguish the different contributions of the accuracies on different classes to the overall performance. The features of the weight function are discussed and the characteristics of the wAUC are analyzed. Theoretical analysis and experimental results show that the proposed wAUC method is superior to OP and AUC methods.

Based on Lyapunov stability theory and Backstepping technology, a decentralized adaptive iterative learning control algorithm for reconfigurable manipulators was proposed. The dynamics of the reconfigurable manipulators was represented as a set of interconnected subsystems. An adaptive iterative learning control method based on backstepping technology was proposed. Adaptive neural network was introduced to compensate the unknown term and the interconnection term of each subsystem. Simulation examples were presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed decentralized controller.

Uncertainty control based on normal cloud model for nodding actions of virtual human

Three kinds of cloud models were designed, which are the nodding times approving cloud, the maximal nodding angle approving cloud and the nodding speed approving cloud. With the guidance of respective positive cloud generation algorithms of the three models, three parameters in a nodding action serial, which are the nodding times, the maximal nodding angle and the nodding speed, were generated. The three parameters follow normal distributions around expected values of the three cloud models respectively. The proposed CBNCA algorithm generates control curves of nodding actions with disciplinary differences between different nodding action serials. In order to describe differences of actions in one nodding action serial, CBNCA+ algorithm was proposed. It can realize uncertainty control of nodding action both between different action serials, and between different actions in one serial. Experiment results prove the effectiveness of the uncertainty control for nodding action of the two cloud-based algorithms. Feature values of the three kind cloud models were proposed.

In order to improve the passing capacity of the parallel four-bar linkage-type pipeline robot in the transition phase of elbow, a velocity control model based on the variety of deflexion angle when the robot passes in the elbow is proposed. By analyzing the movement of the robot in the transition phase, a pose model of the robot is established. Using this model the coordinates of the wheel centers and the contact points between the wheels and the pipeline surface can be calculated. Based on the pose model of the robot, and the relationship between the wheel speed and the driving angular velocity under the condition of no interference, the ratio relationship of the driving angular velocities of the wheels is obtained, that is the velocity control model. The proposed velocity control model is validated by simulation analysis. The simulation result is consistent with the theoretical calculation.

Node localization scheme for wireless sensor networks based on reference node sequence

A node localization algorithm based on reference node sequence is proposed to improve the location accuracy for wireless sensor networks. The algorithm builds the voronoi polygon using the anchor nodes in the localization space, then to generate the voronoi graph. The vertices of the voronoi graph are used as the reference nodes, namely virtual anchor nodes, which increase the anchor node information in the localization space. Therefore, the number of anchor nodes, which can communicate with sensor nodes, increases. In such way, the sensor nodes have more information to determine their space position to over come the negative effect in localization due to the inadequate number of anchor nodes. The proposed scheme builds the sequence rank of the virtual nodes and anchor nodes to the sensor nodes; and according to the sequence rank to estimate the spatial location of the sensor nodes. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can efficiently estimate nodes location and greatly improves the localization accuracy.

Multi-scale image enhancement algorithm based on illuminance partition

In gaining the digital image, its dynamic range often produces linear compression, which leads to low image contrast. To solve this problem, a multi-scale enhancement algorithm based on illuminance partition is proposed. According to the Weber law, the algorithm divides the image into several regions with different illuminances and enhances these regions respectively. The regional enhancement is realized by the adaptive weight sum of differential image with different scales. Then the enhanced images in different regions are linearly fused. For different regions different scale combinations are selected by analyzing the influencing character of different scales on the enhanced image. The proposed algorithm is compared with other algorithms. Results show that this algorithm possesses good enhancement effect, which can improve the image contrast and sharpening.

An improved Cyclic Prefix (CP) type decision and Secondary Synchronization Signal (SSS) detection algorithm in cell search for Long Term Evolution (LTE) system is proposed. To avoid CP type blind detection, sliding window correlation detection on receiving signals is adopted to decide CP type based on a pre-defined threshold. Instead of blind detection toward even-numbered signals and odd-numbered signals of SSS, the even-numbered signals are utilized to correlation detection first; then the odd-numbered signals are used to further verify the results detected by even-numbered signals. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm effectively reduces the computational complexity without the diction performance degradation and is very suitable for application.

To reduce the implementation complexity of Non-Sinusoidal Orthogonal Modulation in Time Domain (NSOMTD), a realization method based on the reconstruction filtering theory is proposed. By applying the reconstruction function of time limited and bandpass prolate spheroidal wave functions (TB-PSWF) to the modulator, the variable sampling speed modulation is realized for reducing the sampling points and increasing the working frequency. The hardware implementation scheme is presented; the reconstructing signals' precision and the modulation complexity are analyzed. The theoretical and simulation results show that the proposed method can reduce the complexity and the requirement of hardware resources than traditional method. The proposed method is flexible for realization.

Establishment and validation of the food fracture mechanical model based on the bionic indenter

With a bionic indenter, the fracture mechanical model and brittle fracture equations of food were established. Crushing experiment was done for brittle food materials using the bionic indenter. The "pestle and mortar" chewing model was investigated and the force of the bionic indenter crushing materials was analyzed. Results of validation test show that the computational fracture force is in good agreement with that of experiment. The proposed brittle fracture equations of food are correct and able to reflect the relationship between brittle fracture force and failure stress. Result of correlation shows that there is good relationship between fracture force of the samples and sensory crunchiness. Fracture mechanical model based on the bionic indenter helps to assess the crunchiness of food materials.

FTIR structure analysis and microwave extraction of polysaccharides from corn silk

The Plackett-Burnam design was applied to screen out the key factors which may affect the content of corn silk polysaccharides extracted by microwave irradiation. Three key factors were identified: the microwave extraction temperature, extraction power, and the ratio of liquid to corn silk. The path of steepest ascent was used to approach the optimal region of the extraction condition, which was then further optimized using central composite design and response surface analysis. The regression model was obtained. The optimal extraction condition was obtained as: extraction temperature of 85 ℃, extraction power of 400 W, water to corn silk ratio of 80. Under such condition the content of extracted corn silk polysaccharides was 9.36%. In the IR spectrum typical characteristic absorption peaks of polysaccharides were observed.
