Fault-tolerance target tracking based on multi-model information filtering

Abstract:

A fault-tolerant target tracking algorithm is proposed for multi-sensor system with random sensor faults. The sensor measurement fault is modeled by multi-model approach. The multi-model information filtering is established via embedding the unscented transformation into the information filtering architecture. The probability of the sensor fault model is estimated online by multi-model estimation. The information contribution of each sensor is calculated by combination of probability weights of the sensor fault model. The target tracking accuracy and the identification probability of sensor fault are improved via multi-sensor data fusion. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can improve the efficiency of target tracking.
